The visit to Ataturk Arboretum

We went to Ataturk Arboretum last week. Here, I will be posting my notes about this secret botanic garden in Istanbul. Atatürk Arboretum is one of the top on my list to take the kids for a sightsee. This place is giving you a breath break by the magnificent flora, ponds and little pathways around as we all live in a massy and rushy life in İstanbul. The ducks, swans, little turtles, water lilies, trees and bushes are enchanting your eyes.  Also as you are walking around you will notice different flora than grows other than Turkey's climate....A total different world than the gardens in Istanbul and elsewhere in Turkey!! What is an arboretum and why Atatürk Arboretum was sited at Belgrad Forest? An arboretum is a botanical garden containing living collections of woody plants intended at least partly for scientific study. So this Atatürk Arboretum is aiming to give information for studies of university students and for public of the other climates' floras around the w

Sightsee from ISTANBULL

Hello everyone, I live in Istanbul with my family. I like to travel and sightsee of big and small cities in Turkey a lot.  I am passionate of journey and love to make plans of it. This is a challenge for me to have new experiences with my two children who are three and seven years old.  Before I visit most places, I used to make search on web and be aware of what is expecting me as a mom with my children. However, I certainly found out that there are really no tips for moms :(( Then I decided to share my "true" experiences with  everyone. Hereby this blog, you will find the "do's" and "dont's" and "must have" and "no need to's" for your visits.  So, I hope you enjoy and find my postings useful as inspriation to travel around this area. So see you around ;))
